The Aston Martin DB9 represented a new era for Aston Martin in the new millennium – constructed from the ground up as an entirely new car in Aston’s lineup, as well as the first model to be produced in Aston Martin’s then-new Gaydon production facility in Warwickshire, England, and at the time, an all-new 5.9L V12 engine. It is a luxury grand tourer; and offers a combination of elegant design, high-performance capabilities, and luxurious features.
Presented to you at the Car Farm is a 2005 Aston Martin DB9. It was built in the UK in 2005 and first registered on 1st March 2005 in Hong Kong as a brand-new delivery to its first owner. The current owner is the seventh owner of this well-kept example. It has been fully maintained and serviced throughout its lifetime. Recent services and repairs include new suspension shocks, a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, brake fluid, coolant, engine oil, and more. All those service records can be provided upon request. It is nicely presented inside and out. It has a reported mileage of 41,338 km and the current road license is valid until 6th May, 2024.
The bluish-grey paint is vibrant and not dull or yellowing. All body panels align perfectly showing no signs of major repair or structural damage to the vehicle, although there is a dent located in the centre of the rear bumper, which could be easily fixed with a bit of TLC. The 19” stock wheels are still in very great condition with minor kerb rash on one of the wheels. There are no cracks or dullness in the headlights and taillights. The front grill and the Aston Martin emblems show no signs of oxidation or fade-off, the same goes for all the chrome trims on its exterior. All the doors, rear boot, and front bonnet open and shut normally.
Interior and Trim
Open the doors and you will find a luxurious and stylish interior adorned with grey leather and Bamboo wood trim, with the addition of some chrome/polished metal highlights around the instruments. The Bamboo trim pieces are in great condition without any cracking or fading. The leather seats are undamaged and show very minimal wrinkles on their surface. The infotainment system, climate control buttons as well as gear select buttons on the centre console show no signs of wear or stickiness. The clock is operated as it should. All the interior carpeting is pristine, from the floors to the trunk lining. Both side door panels are free of any imperfections, as are the lower side door sills. The air conditioning blows cold. And the instrument cluster display works as it should.
Engine and Running Gear
This Aston Martin DB9 is powered by a powerful 5.9L V12 engine. The engine does not stutter and is strong and buttery with no signs of excessive smoke coming out of the exhaust. The throttle response and steering feel are direct and very responsive. Brakes and suspension perform adequately. The 6-speed Sportshift automated manual gearbox is solid. During the drive, interior cabin noise was to a minimum. If you are in the market for a luxury British classic sports car that is highly optioned this 2005 Aston Martin DB9 is now available exclusively for sale on the Car Farm.
