The Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale was first introduced in 2010 – infusing characteristics of Maserati’s Trofeo race cars into the GranTurismo. The result was a more powerful and lighter GranTurismo, that broke the 300km/h barrier. Powered by a 4.7L V8 it produces 450hp, paired with a 6-Speed Automated Manual Transmission – allowing shifts to be completed as fast as 60 milliseconds. Although race-inspired, the MC Stradale stays true to its GranTurismo roots, by providing comfort and ergonomic spaciousness to its occupants through its redesigned racing seats providing the best possible driving position and at the same time the highest level of comfort.
Presented to you at the Car Farm is a 2011 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale in Bianco Eldorado. It is an original Auto Italia Ltd. example that has been well maintained throughout its lifetime at no expense spared. The owner reports that this example is wearing its original Bianco Eldorado paint, except for the right rear fender which was resprayed due to a surface scratch and confirms from their pre-purchase inspection that the chassis is straight. This example has been kept in full original condition, including the carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fibre bucket seats, carbon fibre trim with the clutch showing 50% of life remaining. As a pre-facelift GranTurismo MC Stradale, the maximum seating capacity is two. This sleek future classic has 2 previous owners, a current mileage of 20,500km and a valid road license until 22nd October, 2022.
To the untrained eye the MC Stradale stays under the radar with its Bianco Eldorado paint, and Black colour factory wheels. Due to the nature of most white-coloured vehicles – throughout there is some yellowing noticed, however this does not affect the amount of light which reflects off its Bianco Eldorado body. Carbon fibre accents are observed on its side mirrors, door handles, and rear lip spoiler – as shown when lifted with the under section exposed. The factory original matte blacked-out wheels are in immaculate condition – free from any kerb rash or chips of paint. The menacing front grille and surrounding mesh grilles are all in excellent condition, including the rear section. All of the body panels are aligned, with no signs of scratches or dings. The Maserati emblems and badges throughout remain vibrant in colour and free from any signs of oxidation.
Interior and Trim
Taking a seat inside the MC Stradale brings you to a marvellous experience – taking in the finest combination of leather, Alcantara and carbon fibre – topped off with contrasting white stitching and black seat belts. The carbon fibre bucket seats do not show any signs of ageing or wear in the usual spots, and are fully operational, including its manually operated forward and reclining movements. The centre console with its controls are beautifully laid out in an organised manner with slight signs of wear on the ‘1’ and ‘R’ buttons. Subtle Alcantara accents as seen above the cluster gauge and the carbon fibre steering wheel (with carbon fibre paddle shifters) are small yet impactful touches that bring the driver closer to Maserati’s Trofeo race cars – with the analogue clock adding a touch of tradition. The carbon fibre door sill plates with GranTurismo MC Stradale badging are in excellent condition.
Engine and Running Gear
The MC Stradale’s 4.7L V8 is an engineering masterpiece – that sings out a symphonic Italian sound like no other – especially in Race mode when the exhaust valves are open completely. The MC Stradale shines when driven harder, with the driver being able to experience the gearbox’s increased responsiveness through every shift through the large paddle shifters behind its wheel. The carbon-ceramic discs did a superb job at bringing the MC Stradale to a standstill. The overall ride of the MC Stradale was a good combination of sport and comfort. The MC Stradale may not be the first Italian sports car you may think of – however, it deserves a position as an understated future classic – now offered to you exclusively at the Car Farm.
