Description
Model History
Introduced in 1963 was the first generation Quattroporte – a direct translation of ‘Four doors’ from Italian to English. Present day, the Quattroporte is in its sixth generation, that was first introduced in 2013. The 2015 continues to provide an exciting drive, without sacrificing any of its luxury and comfort. There were a series of variants (Quattroporte, Quattroporte S and Quattroporte GTS) with engines ranging from a turbocharged 3.0L V6, to an almighty turbocharged 3.8L V8. The turbocharged 3.0L V6 produces 345hp, matched with a ZF 8-Speed Automatic Transmission, a 0-100km/h time of 5.5 seconds, and a top speed at 270km/h. Not often do executive saloons come equipped with a Ferrari derived engine – an element that makes the Quattroporte stand out from its competitors.
History File
Presented to you at the Car Farm is a 2015 Maserati Quattroporte finished in Champagne (Beige) with a matching Beige interior. It is an original Auto Italia (Hong Kong) Ltd. car that is equipped with a touch-screen infotainment system with integrated reverse camera, optioned 19” wheels, adjustable steering column, complete with satin wood and brushed aluminium accents, which is a true statement of refinement and class. Its most recent service (less than 6 months prior) includes an engine oil service, with brand new brake pads and tyres for all four corners. It has one previous owner, a current mileage of 33,415km and a valid Road License until 21st September, 2022.
Exterior
Upon visual inspection, the Champagne paint on this Quattroporte is in pristine condition, confirmed by the amount of light that reflects off of its body. We did not notice any signs of scratches, dings across its body. All of the chrome accents, including the exterior window trim, doorhandles, side fender air vents, Maserati emblem – the Trident, and badges are free from any signs of oxidation and remain vibrant in colour. The lighting units, including the headlights and tail lights are operating as they should with crystal clear visibility. The optioned 19” wheels are overall in great condition, with only the slightest amounts of scuff marks observed on each of the wheels. All of the body panels were aligned, including the fitment of the quad-exhaust.
Interior and Trim
Similar to the exterior, the finish and condition of the interior is just as immaculate. The leather wrapped dashboard with subtle black stitching is free from any imperfections and is tightly secured, as is the bottom half in beige, containing the glove-box. In the centre console is the touch screen infotainment system, that is fully functioning, without any oxidation within the screen. The satin wood finish is free from any scratches or cracks throughout. For the rear occupants, is a dual-climate control system with chrome accents that remain shiny. The ambient lighting works as it should and provides both a mix of warmth and coolness to the cabin. The overall condition of the seats for front and rear occupants are in excellent condition, free from any deep creases and is on par with its low mileage. The electronically adjusted seats are fully operational, just as the electronic window switches (including the automatic sun shade for the rear compartment). The multi-functioning steering wheel and leather wrapped shifter are in great condition with matching chrome accents. The floor mats and surrounding carpeting is in like-new condition, and the door panels are securely tightened to the doors.
Engine and Running Gear
Switching on this executive Italian saloon was done at the press of the Engine Start/Stop button – once pressed, we were greeted with the subtle sounds of a turbocharged (Ferrari designed and assembled) 3.0L V6 together with a steady idle during warm up. The 8-Speed Automatic Transmission in standard mode shifts are responsive and transform to aggressive shift points when engaged in Sport mode. Throttle response is sharpened and allows the driver to make use of its 345hp (with little to no turbo lag), along with its adaptive suspension stiffening up – ready for any long straights or tight turns. The Quattroporte proved to be a stylish, powerful and provided an engaging driving experience. A clean, original and well-maintained example that is ready for many miles ahead – exclusively available to you know at the Car Farm!
